What The Fish Extender collects, why, who else sees it, how long it stays and how to delete it, in plain words.
This page explains what The Fish Extender (thefishextender.com) keeps about you and why. We wrote it ourselves, in plain words.
What we collect
- Exchange sign-ups: your stateroom number, the names and age groups of the people in your cabin, their likes if you add them, and an email address so you can get back to your entry.
- Exchange pages: the organiser's email and the settings of the exchange.
- Door designs: the names, characters, colours and door number you put on a design, and whether you said we may feature it.
Grown-ups enter details about the children in their cabin. Please only add what your group needs. Age groups, not birthdays, are enough.
Who sees it
- Your group sees what the sign-up form says it will show, such as names, age groups and likes. Emails are never shown to other families.
- Anyone with a door's link can see that door, including its names. The door number shows only if you ticked "Show our door number".
- A door appears in Featured doors only if you ticked "You may feature our door", and its names only if you also said so. Door numbers never appear there.
Outside services
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by a person, not a bot.
- Our email provider sends the links you ask for.
We don't run advertising or third-party tracking scripts, and we don't sell anything about you.
How long it stays
Your details stay until you delete them or the organiser deletes the exchange page. We don't delete them automatically after the cruise. The undo history keeps earlier copies for at most 7 days.
Deleting your details
- A cabin can delete its own entry at any time with "Delete our details". That removes it at once and can't be undone.
- An organiser can delete the whole exchange page at any time.
- Whoever has a door's edit link can delete the door and its share pictures.
