Fish extender gift ideas
Small, packable FE gift ideas by budget and age, plus what travels well and what to leave at home.
Good FE gifts are small, light and easy to slip into a pocket. Most groups agree a few dollars a gift, so the fun is in the thought, not the price.

By age
By budget
- $1 to $2: stickers, a postcard from your home town, a mini notebook, a bookmark, a glow stick for the deck party.
- $2 to $5: a lanyard, a keychain, a small plush, hand sanitiser in a fun holder, a sheet of nautical stickers.
- $5 to $10: a personalised luggage tag, a reusable cup, a small tote, a handmade magnet.
Something to use, or something to keep
Snacks, bubbles and drink flavourings get used up on board. Keepsakes like ornaments, magnets and pins go home with the family. A mix of both works well across a week.
What travels well
- Flat things: stickers, cards, bookmarks, temporary tattoos.
- Light things that can't break: fabric, felt, foam, plastic.
- Anything you can pack by cabin in one zip bag.
What to leave at home
- Small parts or anything with magnets for cabins with toddlers.
- Liquids that can leak in a suitcase.
- Food for any cabin that lists an allergy.
- Anything big. It has to fit in a pocket.
Handmade is always welcome. A personal touch matters more than the spend.
